12 AUGUST - THE SOLAR ECLIPSE THAT SPAIN HADN'T SEEN FOR 100 YEARS
On 12 August 2026, the sky will witness an exceptional alignment: the Moon will pass between the Earth and the Sun, creating a solar eclipse visible from the Iberian Peninsula for the first time in over a century.
From the Castell del Remei, in Lleida, the phenomenon will arrive at an especially magical moment: at sunset, with the sun low on the horizon. It won't just be looking at an eclipse; it will be watching the day fade twice, amidst vineyards, music, and scenery.
At 8:30 PM, the sun will set over the Castell del Remei vineyards. The Moon will completely cover it – the first total eclipse visible from Spain in 121 years.
At that moment, the solar corona, Baily's Beads, and the Diamond Ring will appear above the estate's horizon. The sky will darken, the temperature will drop, and the birds will call as if it were nighttime.
About the vines. Opposite the castle. Once in a lifetime.
